Application & eligibility
Work through household, income, employer-coverage, and other application questions and identify documentation Explore Health may request.
Oregon now has its own health insurance Marketplace. If you had 2026 coverage through HealthCare.gov, received an Explore Health welcome notice, or need coverage for 2027, here's what to do next.

Matthew Woodbridge is an Official Enrollment Partner of Explore Health. I provide local, licensed insurance-agent assistance with Marketplace applications, plan comparisons, enrollment, and coverage changes.
Explore Health sent welcome notices to people who previously enrolled through HealthCare.gov. You do not need to wait until Open Enrollment to claim the account created for you.
Claiming your account gives you access to your secure Explore Health inbox and lets you check your contact information and communication preferences.
When Open Enrollment begins November 1, log back in to review your application before selecting or renewing coverage.
You don't need to have everything figured out before contacting me. For an application or renewal, it helps to have information about your household, expected income, current coverage, employer coverage available to household members, and the doctors and prescriptions you want considered when comparing plans.
If Explore Health asks you for verification documents, the exact documents depend on what needs to be verified. I can help identify what the Marketplace is asking for and how to submit it.
I've spent 15 years helping Oregonians navigate health coverage changes, and I'm contracted with every insurance company offering Marketplace coverage in Oregon for 2027. That lets us compare the Marketplace options available in your area when a plan, insurer, network, or cost changes.
As a licensed insurance agent and Official Enrollment Partner, I can help with more than account access—especially when eligibility, income, provider networks, prescriptions, or a coverage transition makes the application more complicated.
Work through household, income, employer-coverage, and other application questions and identify documentation Explore Health may request.
Compare plan costs, doctors, facilities, prescriptions, and coverage details based on how your household actually uses care.
Get help when you're losing job-based coverage, moving between OHP and Marketplace coverage, self-employed, or dealing with another qualifying life event.
If your 2026 plan is no longer available, Explore Health may match you with a similar plan for 2027, including one from a different insurance company. That helps keep coverage moving forward, but it doesn't mean every detail will be the same.
We'll look beyond the monthly premium and compare the things that matter to you—including doctors and hospitals, prescriptions, benefits, deductibles, and expected out-of-pocket costs.
I'm contracted with every insurance company offering Marketplace coverage in Oregon for 2027, so we can compare the Marketplace options available in your area rather than starting with a single insurance company.

If you are currently enrolled through HealthCare.gov, your coverage may be automatically renewed for 2027 through Explore Health. If your current plan is no longer offered, Explore Health may match you with a similar plan, including one from a different insurance company. You should still review your information and coverage before relying on the renewal.
Make sure household members and other application information are accurate, and report changes.
Review your estimated annual household income. Explore Health uses application information to determine eligibility for financial help.
If your 2026 plan is ending, check the plan Explore Health matched you with. The insurance company, provider network, prescriptions, benefits, premiums, or other costs may be different.
For Oregon Marketplace coverage, Explore Health replaces HealthCare.gov as the place to apply for and enroll in health coverage. People who used HealthCare.gov in the past may receive an Explore Health welcome notice and account access code.
If you need older HealthCare.gov records or have a situation involving prior-year federal Marketplace coverage, the right resource can depend on what you're trying to retrieve. Contact me if you're unsure where to start.

You don't have to work through the new Marketplace alone. Schedule a conversation or contact me directly.
